PUBLIC STREET AND DECORATIVE LIGHTING

Belgrade was the town to receive the electric power before the majority of European and world metropolises. The first light bulb was lit in Belgrade Quarter in 1893. The town authorities at that time, having the option to choose between electric and gas lighting, stood up for the more modern scientific-technical achievement.

At this time, "Electric Power Distribution Belgrade”. has been assigned by the decision of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade to distribute electric power for public lighting within the scope of Belgrade consumer market and maintenance of network and public lighting facilities within the region of 10 urban municipalities.

Electric power for public lighting is supplied as per the schedule of public lighting supply intervals adopted by the City Assembly.

Maintenance of public lighting facilities include purchase and replacement of light bulbs, fuses, restrictors, light fitting protectors, condensers, activators (for Na bulbs), engagement of manpower and cranes for bulbs replacement purposes and inspection of switching on/off of public lighting.
