Legislative Framework

The business climate in Belgrade and Serbia has improved significantly since 2001 thanks to the adoption of a large number of legal regulations. The basic aims of the legislative reforms, which are proceeding in accordance with the legal system of the European Union, provide for business simplification and investment security.

In the process of accession to the EU, the adoption of a large number of reform acts is envisaged, but the laws which are of greatest importance for investors are those that cover land and construction as well as legislation governing industrial and technology parks.
