Postal codes

Main postal address code of Belgrade is 1000. However, each city municipality has its own postal code, which should be used for greater precision in packages delivery, since same street names exist in more than one municipality.

The introduction of address code for each location is ongoing, and you can find more about it at www.posta.rs.

Internet in Serbia (Yugoslavia at the time) appeared on February 28th, 1996, on the day of the University of Belgrade, when national academic network through provider BeotelNet was connected to the internet. All internet services began to be available to users in Yugoslavia, but still they have been limited to academic circles. The same year first commercial internet providers started working, whereby internet began to be available to non-academic part of Serbia, i.e., to all users.
