MONUMENT TO VOJVODA ŽIVOJIN MIŠIĆ
Author: DRINKA RADOVANOVIĆ
Located in front of the Belgrade Fair, in the boulevard bearing his name, bronze 85 cm, total height 195 cm.
The monument was erected in 1988 commemorating the 70th anniversary of breach of the Thessaloniki Front.
VOJVODA ŽIVOJIN MIŠIĆ
(Struganik near Valjevo, 1855 - Belgrade, 1921), vojvoda (high military commander), one of the most prominent Serbian army commanders
He has participated in all the wars Serbia led from 1876 until 1918. During the Balkan wars and in the beginning of the World War I he was assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Supreme Command, and commander of the First Army in the battle on Kolubara, when he especially excelled and acquired the rank of a vojvoda. During the breach of the Thessaloniki Front in 1918 he was the Chief of Staff of the Supreme Command, and later the Chief of the General Staff until 1921.

VOJVODA STEPA STEPANOVIĆ
(Kumodraž near Belgrade, 1856 - Čačak, 1929), distinguished army commander
He has participated in all the wars Serbia led from 1876 until 1918 as commander at various levels of command. In the Balkan war he was the commander of the Second Army and led it in the battle near Jedrene. In World War I he organized mobilization and concentration of the whole Serbian army. Later. he commanded the Second Army which defeated the Austrians on Cer (he was then promoted to the rank of a vojvoda), and which played important role in the battles on the Drina and Kolubara rivers, and in the breach of the Thessaloniki Front. He was discharged of army duties in 1919. He has edited the official bulletins "Vojni List" and "Ratnik".
MONUMENT TO NIKOLA PAŠIĆ

NIKOLA PAŠIĆ
(Zaječar, 1845 - Belgrade, 1926) politician and statesman
He has been educated in elementary and secondary schools in Zaječar, Negotin, Kragujevac and Belgrade. He has graduated as civil engineer from the Polytechnic School in Zurich. During his stay in Switzerland he became close with Svetozar Marković, but later they went separate ways. He took part in forming of the Radical Party and was the first president of it's Main Committee. As a strong opponent of the regime of Milan Obrenović and because of his active participance in the Timok Rebellion in 1883 he has been sentenced to death, but managed to flee to Bulgaria. After King Milan's abdication, he was amnestied, he returned to the country and became leader of the Radical Party.
During the rule of Aleksandar Obrenović he was in good relations with his regime and was president of the National Assembly, prime minister, president of the Belgrade Municipality, Serbian emissary to Russia... Nevertheless, he started to disagree with the foreign and internal policy of the last of the Obrenović dynasty, and soon he became the King's opponent. After the assasination of Aleksandar Obrenović and return of the Karađorđević dynasty (1903), Pašić went into politics once more, took part in forming of the Government and became Prime Minister. He performed this duty during World War I, and in that capacity he signed the Corfu Declaration in 1917. He was one of the main makers of the Vidovdan Constitution of 1921, which gave the form of a unitary monarchy to the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Later, King Aleksandar Karađorđević has become irritated by Pašić's personality, so he distanced himself from Pašić, and removed him from the position of a prime minister. Pašić has been present in political life of Serbia for 48 years.
MONUMENT TO FRANCHET D' ESPEREY

Above the Autokomanda junction, bronze 100 cm, total height 408 cm. Erected in 1936.
FRANCHET D' ESPEREY
(1856-1942), Marshal of France
He has been commander of the Allied forces since 1918, including the First and Second Serbian armies at Thessaloniki Front in World War I, and he won the decisive battle near Dobropolje. He was awarded a rank of honorary vojvoda of the Yugoslav Army in 1921.

Located in Topčiderski Park, bronze 120 cm, total height 420 cm. Erected in 1931.
Dr. ARCHIBALD REISS
(Lausanne, Switzerland, 1876 - Belgrade, 1929), publicist, professor at the University of Lausanne, famous criminologist
Upon the invitation of the Serbian Government he carried out an inquiry on Hungarian, German and Bulgarian atrocities in Serbia during World War I and published the reports in European papers. He has tried to modernize the Belgrade police. Shortly before his death, he has lost the favour of the Court.
